Burel is a 100% wool craft fabric which production follows long lasting traditions. It is made of woven felted wool that comes from a mountainous Portuguese region, Serra da Estrela, and is used by mountain people and shepherds. It’s similar to felt, but more rustic, while more soft and fluffy.

Burel is woven and felted unlike wool felt that is felted but not woven, becoming more compact and resistant than a common wool cloth.
