The design of the piece is inspired by the goblet motifs of Nishapur (Samanid era), known as the long-necked bird (crane).

The underglaze technique involves painting on ceramics using various metallic pigments. If necessary, the sgraffito technique (scratching) is employed. Then, a layer of clear, colorless glaze is applied, and it is fired again in the kiln at the appropriate temperature.
